Description

The project involves the renovation of two rooms on the ground floor of a traditional Tuscan building immersed in the San Gimignano countryside. In fact, the intervention envisages, with the demolition of some internal partitions, the creation of an open and continuous environment. Particular attention was paid to the recovery of the brick vaults as well as to the rest of the perimeter stone walls, both brought to light after careful removal of the surface plaster. Wood, a new material element, becomes the protagonist of the sleeping area with the “handmade” realization of the bed structure that fits perfectly with the irregular perimeter walls.
